The one difference that changes everything: VAT
If you already sell on a Turkish marketplace, the most expensive mistake you can make on eMAG is assuming prices work the same way. They do not. On Trendyol the price you type is the VAT-inclusive consumer price, so part of it is tax you never keep. On eMAG the price you type is already net of VAT — the documentation calls it “sale price without VAT” — and VAT is added on top at checkout.
Net revenue = ex-VAT price − (ex-VAT price × commission rate)
Sell at 100 RON with a 15% commission: commission is 15 RON, you keep 85 RON, and the customer pays 121 RON at 21% VAT. Applying a Trendyol-style formula here would strip VAT out of a price that never contained it, pushing your floor price too high and quietly pricing you out of the competition.
Commission is not the only deduction
Shipping, storage and service fees are billed separately and are not in the figure above. To see what is genuinely left, add your product cost in the calculator and your real shipping average from your own invoices — an assumed shipping cost is one of the most common reasons a “profitable” product turns out not to be.
One integration, four markets
eMAG runs the same seller API in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Poland. The contract is identical; only the base URL and the currency change. If you already sell in one of them, opening the next is a pricing and logistics decision rather than a technical one.
Watch the mandatory price band
Every eMAG offer carries a minimum and a maximum sale price, and the marketplace rejects anything outside that range. A price that is correct on paper still fails to save if it falls outside the band — so when you set a floor, check it against your band too. See also the break-even calculator and the VAT calculator.

Are eMAG prices VAT-inclusive or exclusive?
EXCLUSIVE. The eMAG Marketplace API documentation defines the sale price explicitly as 'sale price without VAT'. The price you enter is your net price; VAT is added on top, charged to the customer, and never reaches you. Trendyol works the opposite way — there the price you enter is the VAT-inclusive consumer price. This difference changes your floor-price maths directly.
Which amount is eMAG commission charged on?
Commission is calculated on the VAT-exclusive sale price. On a 100 RON (ex-VAT) sale, a 15% commission is 15 RON and you keep 85 RON. The customer pays 121 RON with 21% VAT — those 21 RON belong to the state, not to you.
Where do I find my commission rate?
eMAG commission varies by category and is visible in the seller panel. eMAG also exposes an API endpoint that returns the estimated commission at offer level. Rates can drop on campaign sales, so there is no single 'eMAG commission' figure — enter the rate for your own category.
Which countries does this cover?
eMAG offers the seller API in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Poland, with the same contract across all four — only the currency changes (RON, BGN, HUF, PLN). The VAT rates in the tool are starting points; verify rates outside Romania against your own invoice.
Is the amount after commission my profit?
No. Product cost, shipping, storage and any advertising spend have not been deducted yet. Enter your product cost in the tool to see net profit and margin; add shipping from your own invoice average.
Does eMAG enforce a price range?
Yes. Each offer has a minimum and maximum sale price, and eMAG rejects any price outside that band. If your calculated price falls outside it, the write fails — you need to update the band in the seller panel.
