You're in profit on this product 👍 But can you protect it?
Margins erode when commissions/shipping change or a rival cuts price. Verimle watches 24/7, prevents below-floor sales, and flags unfair deductions.
The two Amazon fees sellers confuse
Amazon takes two very different charges. The referral fee is a percentage commission on every sale (with 20% VAT on top). The FBA fee is a fixed fulfilment charge based on the product's size and weight. Many sellers price only against the referral fee and are surprised when FBA quietly erases the margin — this calculator forces both onto the same screen. For the referral side in detail, use the Amazon commission calculator.
Referral fee, FBA fee and the rest
Net profit is the sale price minus: referral fee (base + VAT), FBA fee, the 1% e-commerce withholding tax, VAT on your margin, and product cost. Enter each from Seller Central; the FBA fee in particular changes with the size tier, so use the exact figure for your product.
FBA or FBM?
For FBM (you ship yourself), set the FBA field to zero and enter your carrier cost as shipping. Comparing the two modes in the tool shows whether FBA's fee is worth the logistics it removes for your product.

Method and sources
The calculator uses the rate and FBA fee you enter, the Amazon VAT-on-top referral model, the 1% withholding tax base and a simplified VAT-on-margin figure. Referral and FBA fees must be verified in Amazon Seller Central.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is Amazon FBA profit calculated?
The referral fee (base + 20% VAT), the FBA fee, the 1% e-commerce withholding tax, VAT payable and product cost are deducted from the sale price. What remains is net profit; the tool collects the FBA fee in a separate field.
What is the difference between the FBA fee and the referral fee?
The referral fee is the commission taken on every sale, calculated as a share of the sale price. The FBA fee is the charge for storage and fulfilment; it is a fixed amount based on the product's size and weight. They are separate lines and are entered separately in the tool.
Where do I find my FBA fee?
The FBA fee varies by the product's size/weight tier and is shown in the FBA fee schedule in Amazon Seller Central or in the per-product calculator. Take the exact amount from there and enter it in the tool.
Can I use this tool for FBM (fulfil yourself) sales?
Yes. For FBM leave the FBA fee field empty or enter zero, and put your own shipping cost in the shipping field. The tool then computes net profit with only the referral fee, withholding tax, VAT and cost.
Why is VAT payable deducted?
The difference between the VAT collected on the sale and the VAT paid on purchase is remitted to the state. The tool simplifies this as VAT on the margin; if you have expense VAT credits the real figure can be lower. Verify the exact number on your accounting summary.
How do I account for the Amazon FBA storage fee?
The long-term storage fee depends on stock and time, not on a single order. You can estimate a per-unit share and add it to the FBA fee field, or track the total monthly storage cost separately.
