Comparable net = sale − commission (each marketplace's VAT model) − 1% withholding tax (TRY 4.17) − shipping − product cost. Product VAT payable and income tax are excluded because they are the same across marketplaces for the same product and do not change the ranking.

Why comparing marketplaces by rate alone is misleading

“Trendyol takes 20%, Hepsiburada 15%, so Hepsiburada is cheaper” is the most common mistake in multi-marketplace selling. It ignores the single biggest difference: the VAT model. On Trendyol, commission is the VAT-inclusive price × rate, and that figure is already VAT included. On Hepsiburada, Amazon, n11 and Çiçeksepeti, the rate is applied to the base and 20% VAT is added on top. So the same headline rate produces a different deduction depending on the platform.

The tool above applies each marketplace's own model so the comparison is on the same footing.

How the comparable net profit is calculated

For each marketplace, net = sale price − commission (its VAT model) − 1% e-commerce withholding tax − shipping − product cost. Product VAT payable and income tax are excluded on purpose: for the same product they are identical across marketplaces and therefore do not change which one nets more. This keeps the ranking driven by the two things that actually differ — the commission model and the rate — plus any shipping difference you enter.

What to do with the result

  • Enter the exact rate for your product category from each seller panel.
  • Read the ranked table: the marketplace at the top nets the most for this product.
  • A small net gap is not a reason to leave a channel — traffic, buyer base and operations differ too. Use the number as one input, not the whole decision.

Dig deeper per marketplace

For a single channel, the dedicated commission tools break down the base, VAT and total deduction in detail: Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon, n11 and Çiçeksepeti. For the full Trendyol net profit including service fee and returns, use the Trendyol profit calculator.

Method and sources

The calculator uses the rates you enter, each marketplace's VAT model and the 1% e-commerce withholding tax base (VAT-excluded sale). Commission rates change by category and agreement and must be verified in each seller panel; the defaults are references only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which marketplace is most profitable for a seller?

There is no single answer; profit depends on the product category, the commission rate in that category, the shipping desi and your cost. This tool applies each marketplace's commission model and rate to the same product and puts net profit side by side, so you decide with your own numbers.

Why can't commission rates be compared directly across marketplaces?

The VAT model differs. On Trendyol, commission is VAT-inclusive price × rate and the result is VAT included; on Hepsiburada, Amazon, n11 and Çiçeksepeti the rate applies to the base and 20% VAT is added on top. So 15% is not the same deduction everywhere; the tool applies each model separately.

What does the comparable net profit include?

It deducts each marketplace's commission (with its own VAT model), the 1% e-commerce withholding tax, the shipping you enter and the product cost from the sale price. Product VAT payable and income tax are excluded because they are the same for the same product across marketplaces and do not change the ranking.

Where should I find the rates?

Enter each marketplace's rate from its own seller panel: Trendyol Seller Panel, Hepsiburada Merchant Center, Amazon Seller Central, n11 Seller Office, Çiçeksepeti Seller Panel. The default rates in the tool are references to start from only.

How do I account for the shipping difference?

Enter your average shipping cost per order in the single field. Since the same product's desi is similar across marketplaces, this keeps the comparison fair. If your shipping agreement differs by marketplace, run each scenario twice with a different shipping value.

Why is the result called 'comparable net'?

Because the goal is to show the difference between marketplaces accurately, not the absolute accounting profit. Lines common to all marketplaces (product VAT, income tax) are excluded, so the remaining difference comes only from the commission model, rate and shipping.

Should I stay on one marketplace or expand to more?

For most sellers a second marketplace is an additional revenue channel using the same stock and content — a portfolio, not a rival. This tool lets you see whether opening a product on a second marketplace makes sense in net-profit terms.
