Modanisa commission formula

Modanisa sets a commission rate per category. In the model this tool uses, the rate is applied to the VAT-excluded base and 20% VAT is added on top of the commission:

Total commission = (sale price × commission rate) + 20% VAT on that commission

For a 1,000 TL sale at 20%, the base is 200 TL, VAT is 40 TL, and the VAT-inclusive deduction is 240 TL. Modanisa is a modest-fashion marketplace, so modest clothing, dresses, accessories and other fashion groups carry their own rates — the rate depends heavily on the category. Confirm how commission and VAT are applied to your store on your commission invoice.

Which commission rate should you enter?

Modanisa commission runs roughly 10–30% depending on the category. The only figure that matters for your reconciliation is the rate shown for your product in the Supplier Panel; the category shortcuts here are public references to start from.

Commission is only one deduction

The “after commission” figure is not your payout or profit. Add shipping and any service fees, the state withholds a 1% e-commerce withholding tax, and you still owe product cost and VAT. Deduct all of these together to see what actually remains.

Comparing Modanisa with other marketplaces

Reduce every marketplace to the same basis — total VAT-inclusive deduction as a share of the sale — before deciding where a product is most profitable. Compare with the Hepsiburada, Trendyol and n11 commission tools.

Method and sources

The calculator uses the rate you enter and a VAT-on-top commission model. For current commission rates, consult the official Modanisa supplier pages and your Supplier Panel. The exact rate — and whether commission is calculated VAT-inclusive — must be verified in the panel and on your commission invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Modanisa commission calculated?

The commission rate shown for your product in the Supplier Panel is applied to the sale price. This tool uses the model where the rate applies to the VAT-excluded base and 20% VAT is added on top of the resulting commission. For a 1,000 TL sale at 20%, the base is 200 TL, VAT is 40 TL, and the total deduction is 240 TL. Verify the exact treatment on your commission invoice.

Why does Modanisa commission vary by category?

Modanisa is a modest-fashion focused marketplace; the commission rate varies by product group. It differs across categories such as modest clothing, dresses, shoes and bags, cosmetics, home textiles and accessories, and can be relatively high in fashion categories. So commission varies over a range of roughly 10–30% by category; the exact rate is shown in the Supplier Panel.

Is VAT added to Modanisa commission?

Verify whether the commission is calculated VAT-inclusive from your own supplier panel or commission invoice; do not assume it. This tool uses the common model where the panel rate applies to the VAT-excluded base and 20% VAT is added on top. Compare the base and VAT lines on your invoice to confirm how it applies to your store.

Where can I find my exact commission rate?

Verify the exact rate in your own Modanisa Supplier Panel, from the commission information shown for the relevant product and category. The category shortcuts here are public references; a campaign or category update can make your rate different.

Is the amount left after commission my profit?

No. Shipping, any service fees, 1% e-commerce withholding tax, product cost, VAT payable, advertising and return cost have not yet been deducted. Real net profit requires all of those lines together.

When does Modanisa pay the supplier?

Payment is typically made on a periodic settlement schedule; the exact date is shown on the settlement screen in the Supplier Panel. Track the date there.

Why can the expected commission differ from the deduction on the statement?

First compare the same orders and quantities, the commission rate at the time of the order, campaign terms and invoice period. The tool's actual-deduction field shows the effective rate and the difference. For an unexplained gap, contact Modanisa support with the order details.
