What is inside the template?
There are three sheets. On the Orders sheet you enter each order as a single row: date, order number, product, barcode, VAT-included sale price, commission rate, shipping, and product cost. The commission, withholding tax, and net profit columns fill in automatically via formulas; there are 200 ready rows and a Yes/No dropdown for marking returns. The Summary sheet automatically totals revenue, total deductions, net profit, and the number of returns month by month. The How to Use sheet briefly explains the formula logic and which values you need to update from your panel.
Which model do the formulas use?
The template builds the calculation sellers most often get wrong using the official model: commission deduction = VAT-included sale price × panel rate. The commission invoice is VAT-included; no additional VAT is added on top of this amount. We explained with examples why this distinction matters in the is commission VAT-included article. The withholding tax column computes the 1% e-commerce withholding tax from the correct base: the VAT-excluded amount, i.e. price ÷ 1.2. The withholding tax you pay is offset against income or corporate tax — for details see the withholding tax calculator; for your exact situation, consult your accountant.
On a return row the formula does not deduct commission or withholding tax, because when the return is approved both are reflected back into your payout; shipping, however, has been spent and does not come back. You can see what a return actually costs you with the return cost calculator.
The limits of Excel — let's be honest
This template is a good start, but it is not magic. You enter every order by hand; once you pass ten orders a day this becomes work in its own right, and every skipped row misleads the summary. You update the commission rate yourself: the rate changes by category and campaign, and the template cannot learn a rate that changed in the panel on its own. The values in the shipping and service fee columns are your responsibility too — shipping brackets are published VAT-excluded, and you need to enter the VAT-included form into the deduction. Most importantly: the template does not see what was actually deducted on your payout statement. Comparing the deduction you expect with the deduction on the statement — that is, catching the real money leak — is still up to you. We showed step by step how this comparison is done in the real profit calculation guide.
Automatic tracking instead of manual entry
Everything you do in Excel has an automatic equivalent. Verimle's Profit X-Ray automatically pulls your orders and payout items from your Trendyol account; it computes net profit per order including commission, shipping, service fee, withholding tax, and returns. Payout reconciliation compares the expected deduction with what actually happened, detects suspicious deductions, and prepares a dispute draft. If you want to quickly see the net profit of a single product before moving to the template, you can use the Trendyol profit calculator — the formulas in the template use the same model.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the template really free?
Yes. No sign-up, email, or payment required; when you click the button, the .xlsx file downloads directly. You can freely use it for your own store, copy it, and edit it. Besides Excel, it also opens in Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
Which commission model do the formulas use?
The official model: commission deduction = VAT-included sale price × panel rate. The commission invoice is VAT-included; no additional VAT is added on top of that amount. Withholding tax is 1% and the base is the VAT-excluded amount (price ÷ 1.2). Because the commission rate varies by category and campaign, you verify each product's current rate in the Seller Panel and enter it into the template yourself.
Is the template updated? What should I do when rates change?
The rates are on you: when the commission rate, shipping fee, or service fee changes, you look up the current value in your panel and enter it into the relevant column yourself — the template cannot do this for you. When we update the template itself, the version stamp on this page changes; you can re-download the new version from the same address.
How do I mark a returned order?
Select Yes in the 'Return?' column. On that row the formula does not deduct commission or withholding tax — when the return is approved, both are reflected back into your payout — it only records the shipping as a loss. If the return shipping was also charged to you, enter both directions summed into the Shipping cell; if the product came back unsellable, you can add the loss manually on that row.
Should I track profit in Excel, or automatically?
At low order volume, Excel is a sufficient starting point. As the order count grows, manual entry both takes time and produces errors; comparing the deductions on your payout statement line by line is also not Excel's job. Verimle's Profit X-Ray automatically pulls your orders and payout items and computes net profit per order; you can try it free for 14 days.
