The honest answer to “Which shipping carrier is cheapest on Trendyol?” is not a single company name. It depends on three things: your product's desi (Trendyol's volumetric weight unit), the shipping-support tier your sale price falls into, and the current agreement in your own panel. But the direction is clear: in the 2026 contracted rates, Trendyol Express (TEX) and PTT are usually in the cheapest band, Yurtici sits in the most expensive band, and for the same desi the gap between carriers can reach more than 55% in the July 13, 2026 tariff. In this article we build the comparison with real numbers: how contracted shipping works, why carriers differ, the shipping-support tiers that rescue orders under 350 TL, and concrete 1/2/5-desi examples. To see the carriers side by side for your own desi and price, you can use the shipping comparison tool.
How contracted shipping works: Trendyol's negotiation sets the rate, not you
Trendyol negotiates bulk-volume deals with carriers such as Aras, PTT, Surat, Yurtici, TEX, Kolay Gelsin and DHL eCommerce; you then ship using these contracted rates. You don't pay the shipping cost at the counter: the amount is taken as a deduction from your payout and is invoiced to you as an expense document. Two accounting details should be clear from the start: the amounts in the rate tables are excluding VAT, and 20% VAT is added to the actual deduction — and this VAT is deductible input VAT, you subtract it on your tax return, it is not “lost money”. So an Aras shipment you see as 88.96 TL in the table shows up as 106.75 TL on your account statement; you must build your profit calculation on the VAT-included amount.
The contracted system has two sides for the seller. The good side: you work with discounted rates that no small seller could get on their own. The hard side: the rate negotiation is out of your hands, it can be updated across the board during the year, and it carries serious differences from carrier to carrier. The two levers you do hold are carrier choice and desi management — and the rest of this article is about those two.
Desi first: the number that sets the fee
The shipping fee is charged not on weight but on whichever is greater, the desi or the actual weight. Desi is volumetric weight: (Width × Length × Height) ÷ 3,000, in centimeters. A 40 × 30 × 25 cm box comes to 10 desi; even if the product inside weighs 300 grams, you are charged on 10 desi. Before comparing carriers you must know your own desi correctly — depending on the packaging, the same product could be 2 desi or 4 desi. Get the exact number from the desi calculation tool using your packaged dimensions; for the detail of the rate steps you can look at the Trendyol shipping fees guide.
Why is there a gap between carriers, and how big?
Each carrier negotiates separately with Trendyol according to its own capacity, distribution network and target volume; the result is rates that diverge clearly from one another for the same desi. In the 1–5 desi band, the July 13, 2026 contracted rates roughly rank as follows (excluding VAT): PTT 77.54–100.55 TL, Aras 88.96–117.85 TL, Yurtici 121.75–157.16 TL; TEX is generally close to PTT, in the cheapest band, while Surat and Kolay Gelsin are in the middle band. Depending on desi, the gap between the two ends is about44–57 TL, more than 55% proportionally.
This gap turns into a budget line item as your volume grows: for a 1-desi product, the difference between the low end of the cheapest band (77.54 TL + VAT = 93.05 TL) and the low end of the most expensive band (121.75 TL + VAT = 146.10 TL) is about 53 TL per shipment; at 100 shipments a month that's ~5,300 TL. But “the cheapest carrier” is not the right question on its own: delivery speed and damage/loss rate feed back into your sales through your store rating and your Buybox. The practical rule is this — for a low-desi, non-fragile product pick the cheapest band; for a fragile or valuable product, paying a little extra for reliability is cheaper overall. Shipping support: advantageous and standard rates below 350 TL
If you apply the full rate to a cheap product, the math doesn't work: 80–90 TL of shipping on a 120 TL t-shirt puts the sale into a loss from the start. The shipping-support tier system exists exactly for this: for orders under 350 TL and up to 10 desi, Trendyol applies two price bands instead of the full rate. Orders meeting the one-day dispatch, Fast Delivery, or Ships Today condition use advantageous rates; the others use standard rates. All amounts exclude VAT:
| Carrier | Advantageous 0–199.99 TL | Advantageous 200–349.99 TL | Standard 0–199.99 TL | Standard 200–349.99 TL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aras | 48.33 TL | 79.16 TL | 80.83 TL | 86.24 TL |
| DHL | 57.08 TL | 87.91 TL | 89.58 TL | 94.99 TL |
| Kolay Gelsin | 55.83 TL | 86.66 TL | 88.33 TL | 93.74 TL |
| PTT | 34.16 TL | 65.83 TL | 68.74 TL | 74.16 TL |
| Sürat | 54.58 TL | 85.41 TL | 87.08 TL | 92.49 TL |
| TEX | 34.16 TL | 65.83 TL | 68.74 TL | 74.16 TL |
| Yurtici | 83.33 TL | 113.33 TL | 114.16 TL | 119.16 TL |
The table shows that both carrier choice and the speed condition matter even within a tier. The tier applies only while the order is below 350 TL and the package does not exceed 10 desi. At 350 TL or above, or above 10 desi, the full contracted rate applies. Missing the speed condition does not remove the tier; it moves the order to the standard column for the same price band. In 2026 the threshold on the customer side changed too: the free-shipping upper cap rose from 60 TL to 75 TL; on low-basket orders the shipping burden shifted a bit further onto the seller.
The tier threshold is a step that quietly eats your margin: under the advantageous PTT/TEX rate, shipping is 34.16 TL at 199.99 TL and 65.83 TL at 200 TL, excluding VAT. A one-kurus difference can add 31.67 TL to shipping. If you price just above 200 TL, make sure the margin carries that difference.
1 / 2 / 5 desi sample comparison
Let's make it concrete. The table below shows three sample shipments for an order at or above 350 TL (outside the tier support) from Aras's 2026 contracted rate — both the table amount and the VAT-included deduction that actually hits your payout:
| Shipment | Rate step | Table amount (excluding VAT) | Deducted from payout (including VAT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 desi | 0–2 desi step | 88.96 TL | 106.75 TL |
| 2 desi | 0–2 desi step | 88.96 TL | 106.75 TL |
| 5 desi | 5 desi step | 117.85 TL | 141.42 TL |
Three lessons come out of the table. First, 1 desi and 2 desi cost the same — the first step covers 0–2 desi at a single price; with this carrier, struggling to shrink the packaging of a 1-desi product doesn't pay off, but not letting it spill over 2 is critical. Second, moving from 2 desi to 5 desi creates a difference of ~35 TL including VAT (+32%); however, the current tier's desi limit is 10 desi, not 5. Third, the number you need to put in your profit plan is not the one in the table but the VAT-included amount in the right-hand column. These amounts are a single carrier's (Aras) rate; the same desi comes out lower in the PTT/TEX band and higher in the Yurtici band. If you want to see the three carriers side by side for your own desi, the shipping comparison tool does exactly that; and you can work out your net profit per sale including shipping with the Trendyol profit calculation tool.
The four rules of choosing the “cheapest shipping”
- Fix your desi first: a carrier comparison is meaningless until the desi is clear. Calculate with the packaged dimensions, track the tariff steps, and watch the 10-desi tier limit — jumping a threshold is often more expensive than switching carriers.
- Determine your tier status: if you sell under 350 TL, your real rate is the tier rate; which side of the 200 TL threshold you're on can create a bigger cost difference than the gap between carriers.
- Compare the bands, verify from the panel: the general ranking (TEX/PTT cheap, Yurtici expensive) points the way, but the exact amount is written in the current agreement in your panel; rates can be updated during the year.
- Count return risk both ways: on a returned order, shipping is paid twice and the outbound shipping does not come back. On a product with a high return rate, even the “cheapest carrier” calculation takes a back seat — all the numbers are in the return cost article.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the cheapest shipping carrier on Trendyol?
According to the 2026 contracted rate bands, TEX and PTT are generally the cheapest, Surat and Kolay Gelsin are in the middle, and Yurtici is the highest band. But the ranking can change depending on the desi step and your agreement; get the exact answer for your own product from the comparison tool and from the current rate in your panel.
When does the tier support drop out?
In two situations: when the order amount reaches 350 TL or when the package exceeds 10 desi. Either event moves the order to the full contracted rate; 200 TL is the boundary between the lower and upper price bands. If the speed condition is not met, the tier remains but the standard column applies.
Are shipping rates VAT-included?
No — the rate tables are excluding VAT, and 20% VAT is added to the amount deducted from your payout. This VAT is deductible input VAT; you subtract it on your tax return. Put the VAT-included deduction in your profit calculation and the deduction effect in your tax calculation — for your exact situation, consult your accountant.
Can I choose the carrier myself?
From the shipping preferences in your seller panel you can choose among the contracted carriers; the carriers offered can vary by your region and your agreement. Verify the current list of options and your carrier-specific rate from the panel.
Knowing the rate isn't enough, you have to track the deduction
Choosing the cheapest carrier is the planning side of the job; the actual deduction varies from order to order according to the desi measurement, the tier status and returns. When you connect your Trendyol account, Verimle reads each order's real shipping deduction from the account statement, compares it against the expected rate, and alerts you when it detects a deduction higher than expected; it also prepares a dispute draft for deductions that look unfair. Explore the deduction-detection and financial reconciliation features — or first find the cheapest route for your own desi with the shipping comparison tool.
