Trendyol Shipping Fees 2026: Desi Table and Bracket System

For a seller who sells cheap products, shipping is a bigger line item than commission. On a 100 TL product, commission takes 18–22 TL, while shipping alone can be much higher. The July 13, 2026 tariff makes it essential to recheck the calculation. This article covers three things: the up-to-date desi table by carrier, the bracket support system for orders under 350 TL, and how to measure desi correctly and place shipping properly in the profit math. What is desi, and how is it calculated?

The carrier charges not by the actual weight of the product, but by the volume it takes up — because space in the truck fills up before weight does. This volumetric weight is called desi (Trendyol's volumetric weight unit), and its formula is simple:

Desi = (Width × Length × Height) ÷ 3,000 (in centimeters)

The critical rule: shipping is charged based on whichever is larger, the calculated desi or the actual weight. So a huge pillow that weighs 300 grams is charged by its volume, not its weight. A 40 × 30 × 25 cm box = 30,000 ÷ 3,000 = 10 desi; no matter what is inside, shipping is paid over this desi. Shrinking your packaging often saves more than switching carriers. 2026 desi table by carrier

Trendyol has agreements with Aras, PTT, Sürat, Yurtiçi, Trendyol Express (TEX), Kolay Gelsin, DHL eCommerce, and for heavy shipments with carriers like Borusan/CEVA/Horoz. The table below gives the 2026 contracted rates of the July 13, 2026 rates for three widely used carriers by desi band (excluding VAT, unit in TL):

Three conclusions from the table: First, for the same desi there is a difference above 55% at low desi — on a 1–5 desi product the gap between PTT and Yurtici can reach 44–57 TL. Second, Trendyol Express (TEX) is generally close to PTT and sits in the most affordable band; Sürat and Kolay Gelsin are in the mid band. Third, the tariff is not linear; each desi increase lands differently by carrier. Avoiding the next step is a threshold-management game. Across 0–30 desi, the overall range varies by carrier and desi from roughly77.54 TL to 599.99 TL (excluding VAT); postage/SMS charges are included in the listed price.

The bracket support system: two current bands below 350 TL

If you apply the tariff above to a low-priced product, the math doesn't work: 80–90 TL of shipping on a 120 TL t-shirt puts you at a loss from the start. This is exactly what the bracket support system is for. Under the July 13, 2026 tariff, two flat-price bands apply to orders below 350 TL and up to 10 desi. Orders that meet the one-day dispatch, Fast Delivery, or Ships Today condition use the advantageous rates; the others use the standard rates. Every amount below is excluding VAT:

Remember both conditions: the tiers apply only while the order is below 350 TL and the package does not exceed 10 desi. At 350 TL or above, or above 10 desi, the full contracted desi rate applies. Missing the speed condition does not remove the tier; it moves the order to the standard column for the same price band. In 2026, the threshold on the customer side also changed: the upper bracket in the "free shipping over a certain amount" clause was raised from 60 TL to 75 TL. In other words, the basket amount at which the customer earns free shipping went up; this means that on low-basket orders, more of the shipping burden shifts to the seller.

The tier can create a dangerous illusion: on the advantageous PTT/TEX rate, a 199.99 TL order costs 34.16 TL, while a 200 TL order costs 65.83 TL, excluding VAT. A one-kurus price difference can add 31.67 TL to shipping. Factor this step in when pricing just below or above 200 TL.

Shipping's share of revenue: on a cheap product, shipping beats commission

The real danger of shipping is not its absolute amount, but its proportional size on a cheap product. For the same 2 desi product, shipping eats a larger slice of revenue as the sale price falls. The table below shows the ratio of a 2 desi product's shipping cost to revenue, by bracket status (shipping incl. VAT, with a representative most-affordable carrier tariff):

There are two lessons here. First: on a 100 TL product, shipping is 41% of revenue — commission on the same product is typically 18–22%, meaning shipping is bigger than commission. If you sell cheap products, your real rival is not the commission rate but the desi and the shipping bracket. Second: the jump on the 200 TL jump is no coincidence — entering the advantageous upper tier takes shipping from about 41 TL to 79 TL. If the speed condition is not met, the standard PTT/TEX charge on the same low-priced order reaches roughly 82.49 TL including VAT. Price and operational speed therefore have to be managed together.

Placing shipping correctly in the profit math

Shipping is the line item most often placed wrong in a profit plan. Four practical rules:

1. Don't estimate desi, measure it. Calculate with packaged dimensions; if the actual weight exceeds the desi, weight is used as the basis. Staying just below the 5 and 10 desi thresholds is critical to avoid jumping a band.
2. Don't confuse VAT. The amounts in the tables exclude VAT; 20% is added on top of the actual deduction. But this VAT is on an expense document and is deducted on your return — don't count it as "lost money."
3. Check the bracket thresholds against your price. The 200 TL and 350 TL thresholds change your shipping cost step by step when you move your price by a few TL.
4. Count return risk in both directions. On a returned order, shipping is paid twice. In categories with high return rates, counting shipping one-way makes your margin look wider than it is.

Does the customer or the seller pay the shipping fee?

The shipping cost incurred on a sale belongs to the seller as a rule, and is deducted monthly from their payout. Showing "free shipping" to the customer does not remove the cost; it merely hides it inside the sale price. If you are going to offer free shipping, you must build this amount into the price from the start.

Which carrier is the cheapest?

Generally TEX and PTT are in the most affordable band, and Yurtiçi in the most expensive. But "the cheapest carrier" is not the right question on its own; delivery speed and the damage/loss rate also affect Buybox and your store rating. For a low-desi, non-breakable product, choose the cheapest; for a fragile/valuable product, pay a little more for reliability.

Is desi or weight used as the basis?

Whichever is larger. On a light but bulky product, desi wins; on a small but heavy product, the actual weight wins. That is why oversizing packaging unnecessarily is a direct loss of money.
