On Pazarama, the three things sellers most often mix up are which amount the commission is applied to, the fact that VAT is added on top of the commission, and a fixed service fee charged per shipment that is independent of commission. Sellers coming from Trendyol get this wrong, because Pazarama’s model works differently. In this article we have gathered, from a seller’s point of view, the reference commission rates by category for 2026, how the 20% VAT added on top of commission affects the math, the per-shipment service fee, the Women Entrepreneur and precious-metal exceptions, and when the money is actually deposited.
How does Pazarama commission work in 2026?
First truth: unlike n11, Pazarama publishes its category commission rates as a public table, so the rates below are not guesses but official reference figures. That does not mean they are exact for everyone — the final rate that applies to your store can deviate by category, product group, seller agreement, and any campaign arrangements, and it is shown on the commission/agreement screen in the Pazarama İş Ortağım seller panel. Use the figures below as a reference and verify your exact rate in your panel.
Second, critical truth: on Pazarama the commission rate is applied to the VAT-excluded sale base, and a separate 20% VAT is then added on top of the resulting commission amount. So the real amount deducted from your payout is higher than what you get by applying the rate directly to the sale price tag. This fundamentally differs from Trendyol’s model of “commission is calculated from the VAT-inclusive price with no VAT added on top.” The same setup exists on Hepsiburada, n11, and Amazon; on all of them VAT is added on top of commission, while Trendyol is the exception.
Short rule: on Pazarama, commission amount = VAT-excluded base × category rate, and what is deducted from your payout is commission amount × 1.20 + the per-shipment service fee. Applying the rate directly to the VAT-inclusive price and saying “this much is deducted” understates the real deduction.
Step-by-step example
Say you sell a fashion item to the customer for 240 TL and the item carries 20% VAT. The VAT-excluded base is 200 TL. Let the reference commission for the fashion category be 19%:
- Commission amount: 200 × 19% = 38 TL
- VAT on commission: 38 × 20% = 7.60 TL
- Total commission deducted from payout: 45.60 TL
- Per-shipment service fee: 4.75 + VAT = 5.70 TL
- Total marketplace deduction of these items: 51.30 TL
If you mistakenly applied the rate to 240 TL, you would land above 45.60 TL, and at different VAT rates (1%, 10%) your math would break entirely. The correct approach is always to start from the base. Instead of finding the VAT-excluded base by hand, use the VAT calculator to separate the base from the price tag, and enter the price, VAT rate, and category into the Pazarama commission calculator to split the commission and its VAT automatically.
2026 category commission rates (reference)
The table below shows reference rates based on Pazarama’s published category structure. In high-volume, low-margin groups such as electronics and phones the rates tend to be low, while in fashion and cosmetics they tend to be higher. Deviations by sub-category, brand, and campaign are normal. Verify your exact rate from the Pazarama İş Ortağım panel — even though a definitive table is published, it can change by store.
| Category group | Reference commission rate* |
|---|---|
| Fashion / Apparel | 19% |
| Cosmetics and personal care | 19% |
| Footwear and bags | 19% |
| Mother and baby | 18% |
| Books, stationery and office | 18% |
| Home and living | 17% |
| Supermarket / grocery | 17% |
| Electronics | 14% |
| Mobile phones | 10% |
* The rates are for guidance; as shown in the example above, a separate 20% VAT is added on top of category commissions, plus a per-shipment service fee. It is normal for a category to appear different in your panel than in the table — the panel wins.
Exceptions to watch
Two exceptions fall entirely outside the table for some sellers and directly affect your profit math:
- Women Entrepreneur — handmade products: 0%. For sellers enrolled in Pazarama’s women entrepreneur program and selling in the handmade category, commission may be applied as zero. Eligibility depends on the program terms and on listing the product in the correct category; verify whether you qualify from your panel.
- Gold, bullion and precious metals: 8% floor. On the precious-metals side, commission diverges from the general fashion/home rates and works off an 8% floor. A low rate in this high-value, low-margin group does not mean the deduction is small in absolute TL terms.
Separate from commission: the per-shipment service fee
On Pazarama, alongside commission there is a fixed service fee per shipment: 4.75 TL + VAT (about 5.70 TL per shipment). This item is independent of commissionand is multiplied by the number of orders/shipments, not by a rate. It has two consequences:
- Disproportionately large on cheap items. On a 30 TL product, where commission is only a few liras, the shipment service fee takes a serious share next to it. Always factor in this fixed item on low-priced products.
- Think of it separately from shipping. If you use contracted shipping, the carrier fee is also deducted from your payout; the service fee is not shipping and does not replace it. Do not conflate the two items.
The practical lesson: on a low-priced item, knowing the rate is not enough. The fixed service fee and, where applicable, shipping can take up more room than the commission; make your pricing decision by seeing all deductions together.
When is the Pazarama payout (settlement) period?
On Pazarama, the sale amount is not transferred instantly but on the settlement day agreed in your contract, to your IBAN. In practice, sales typically reflect in your account within 14–21 days; the exact day and cycle depend on seller type, your agreement, and any early-payment/maturity arrangement. Verify your specific schedule from the payment/settlement screen in the Pazarama İş Ortağım panel — a generic “it is deposited on this day” statement will not be correct for every store.
What matters is this: the amount deposited on payment day is not your gross sales; it is the net payout after commission, commission VAT, the shipment service fee, any shipping, and withholding tax are deducted. If you do not track these lines through the breakdown, you cannot see how much each deduction is eating.
Placing commission correctly in your profit calculation
Knowing the rate is not enough; you have to place it in the calculation correctly. Four rules:
- Fix the base: calculate commission from the VAT-excluded base, not from the VAT-inclusive tag. A wrong base breaks the math at different VAT rates.
- Add the commission VAT: on Pazarama, 20% VAT is stacked on top of the commission. You can claim this VAT as a deduction on your return, but it leaves as cash on payout day.
- Do not forget the shipment service fee: 4.75 TL + VAT is a fixed amount, not a rate, and leaves on every shipment; on a cheap product this item can be larger than the commission.
- Spread withholding and returns: 1% of the VAT-excluded amount is withheld as income tax, and the return rate takes a share of every sale’s profit — even if they do not appear as a separate line, they affect profit.
Instead of applying these four rules by hand on every product, enter your price, cost, and category into the Pazarama profit calculator and let commission, commission VAT, the service fee, and withholding be subtracted automatically, and let it reverse-calculate the price you need to sell at for your target margin. If you just want a quick commission+VAT split, the Pazarama commission calculator is enough. If you want to see whether selling the same item is more profitable on Pazarama or on another channel such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada, or n11, the marketplace profit comparison tool compares them on a single screen.
Three frequently asked questions
Is VAT added to Pazarama commission?
Yes. On Pazarama, category commission is applied to the VAT-excluded base, and a separate 20% VAT is then added on top of the resulting amount. The total commission deducted from your payout is 1.20 times the commission amount. This differs from the Trendyol model; factor in this difference before using the rate as-is.
Is the per-shipment service fee included in commission?
No. The 4.75 TL + VAT service fee is a fixed item independent of commission and is deducted separately on every shipment. It can apply even on a product whose commission is zero (for example Women Entrepreneur handmade goods); you will see it as a separate line on your breakdown.
Where do I see my own exact rate?
In two places: the commission/agreement screen in the Pazarama İş Ortağım panel (the rate in the contract) and the actual commission line on your payout breakdown (what was actually deducted). If the two do not match, there is either a campaign-period arrangement or an error — in both cases it is worth querying the statement line.
Knowing the rate is not enough — you have to track the deduction
Commission rates are updated from period to period, campaigns change category rules, and you only see the actual deduction on your payout breakdown. Verimle, once you track your sales, reads the real deductions of every order (commission, commission VAT, the shipment service fee, shipping, withholding tax) from the breakdown, derives net profit per product, and alerts you when a deduction is larger than expected. For a deduction it judges unfair, it prepares a dispute draft; it does not automatically bring the money back, but it shows what was over-deducted and why, with evidence in hand. Instead of memorizing the table, let the system track the deductions for you.
Source and update note
The commission rates and table in this article are not a binding list offered to everyone as a single tariff; they are guiding reference values that change by category, campaign, and your own seller agreement, and they do not replace the contract. Before deciding, verify your specific exact commission from the commission/agreement screen in the Pazarama İş Ortağım panel, then recalculate your net profit at the current rate with the Pazarama commission calculator.
