What is this deduction?
Trendyol's commission varies by category, brand, seller tier and campaign period, and is calculated on the VAT-inclusive sale price. The commission invoice total already includes VAT; VAT is not added again. Rate updates or category corrections made afterward can appear on your payout as a 'commission difference' item.
Timing note: Open a support ticket without delay in the payout period where you see the difference item; it can be disputed as long as the transaction detail remains in the panel.
Is it normal? Checklist
Probably legitimate — in these cases your chance of winning a dispute is low:
- The product's category changed and the new category's commission rate is higher.
- You joined a campaign (e.g. flash discount, coupon participation) yourself and the campaign commission was applied.
- Your seller tier dropped and your agreement rate was updated.
Dispute it — if one of these is true, the deduction may be unfair:
- The rate on the Seller Panel > Agreement Details screen differs from the rate deducted on the payout.
- The product was assigned to the wrong (higher-commission) category.
- The commission appears to have been charged twice for the same order.
- The commission of a returned order was not refunded.
Dispute steps
- Verify the current commission rate for your category from the Seller Panel > Agreement Details screen.
- Open the relevant order line on the Finance > Payout Operations screen; note the charged commission amount and rate.
- If there is a difference, create a support ticket titled 'Finance > Commission' via Support/Live Help at the top right of the Seller Panel.
- Attach the order number, a screenshot of the payout screen and a screenshot of the Agreement Details screen to the ticket.
- If you get no result, follow up through the 0850 258 5800 call center with your ticket number.

Which deductions does Trendyol make?
A Trendyol payout is never as simple as "sale price minus commission." Here is the full list of items deducted from the sale amount:
| Deduction type | When is it charged? | What is it based on? |
|---|---|---|
| Sales commission | On every sale | Category/brand/tier-based rate, on the VAT-included sale price |
| Commission difference deduction | On rate/category corrections | The difference between the old and new rate |
| Shipping fee and desi difference | On every shipment | The desi (volumetric unit) measured by the carrier × the agreed tariff |
| Failure-to-supply penalty | On out-of-stock cancellations | Tiered by the cancelled amount (≈10-100+ TL) |
| Late-shipment penalty | On deadline overruns | Tiered by the delayed amount (≈10-50 TL), per shipment |
| Return shipping deduction | On customer returns | The desi of the return parcel × tariff |
| Missing/wrong item deduction | When a faulty shipment is detected | Penalty increasing with the product price |
| Platform service fee | In months with sales | Periodic fixed amount |
| Withholding tax (1%) | On every sale (2026) | On the VAT-excluded sale amount |
Each of these items may look small on its own; but once they add up across hundreds of orders they determine a serious portion of your monthly profit. You can see how the withholding tax is calculated in the withholding tax calculator, and the amount you will actually receive after all deductions in the payout calculator.
How do you spot an unfair deduction? The 3 steps of reconciliation
The only reliable way to catch an unfair deduction is reconciliation: comparing Trendyol's records with your own, line by line.
- Download Trendyol's side: take the period deductions from the Finance > Payout Operations screen and the shipping and commission invoices from the Finance > Invoice Listing screen as Excel.
- Produce your side: your order list, the invoices you issued, your parcel measurements and your carrier delivery records. Also note the commission rate on the Agreement Details screen.
- Match line by line: a commission higher than your agreement rate, a desi higher than you measured, the shipping fee of a return that never reached you, a double penalty on the same order, a commission that was not refunded… Every line that does not match is a dispute candidate.
The unfair deductions sellers catch most often are: the carrier measuring the desi too high, both a late-shipment and a failure-to-supply penalty being charged on the same order, the commission of a returned order not being refunded, and a late-shipment penalty charged because a parcel handed over on time was scanned late.
The dispute process step by step
- Gather your evidence: order number, payout/invoice screenshot, carrier delivery record, parcel measurement photo, customer correspondence — whichever the claim requires.
- Watch the deadline: for penalty notices the dispute window is 3 business days; a late dispute has lower chances of being accepted.
- Open the ticket through the right channel: write through the Support/Live Help section of the Seller Panel by selecting the relevant category (Finance, Shipping, Penalty); if needed, follow up through the 0850 258 5800 call center with your ticket number.
- Use a template: copy the ready dispute message specific to the deduction type from the tool above, fill in the fields in square brackets and attach your evidence. Concrete documents + a clear request significantly increase your chances of success.
- Follow the outcome: if accepted, the amount is refunded to your payout (for shipping/desi disputes a price-difference invoice is created) and for penalty disputes the violation point is removed. If rejected, ask for the reason and reapply with new evidence.
Catch deductions automatically
Doing this reconciliation once a month in Excel takes several hours — and every item you miss comes out of your own pocket. Verimle automates this job: it compares your payouts order by order against your own sales data, automatically flags commissions higher than expected, desi differences, double penalties and commissions that were not refunded; and puts the items to dispute in front of you along with the evidence. You just press the dispute button.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a Trendyol deduction dispute take?
Disputes filed through a support ticket usually resolve in anywhere from a few business days to a few weeks; desi (volumetric unit) disputes and simple reconciliation requests move faster, while penalty disputes and lost-parcel investigations move slower. Note your ticket number and send a follow-up message on the same ticket if the response is delayed.
Within how many days must you dispute?
For penalty notices (failure to supply, late shipment, missing/wrong item), the dispute window Trendyol recognizes is 3 business days; if an on-time dispute is accepted, the penalty is cancelled and the violation point is removed. For desi and invoice-based deductions no strict day limit is announced, but disputing within the same period you see the item significantly increases your chances of success.
What if the dispute is rejected?
First ask for the reason for rejection and reopen the ticket with new evidence (weighing record, shipping report, additional screenshot). If you still get nowhere, escalate through the 0850 258 5800 call center with your ticket number. If the amount is large and you are sure it is unfair, written applications (notary/e-mail) and legal remedies are also available under your seller agreement; at that point it makes sense to get support from an accountant or lawyer.
Is the commission on a returned order refunded?
Yes. When an order is returned, the commission that was charged should be refunded to your payout. If there is no commission refund shown against the return line in your payout statement, that is a discrepancy worth disputing; open a support ticket with the order number and the return record.
Where do you file a desi dispute?
You can dispute the desi (volumetric unit) information of the relevant order through the Seller Panel. Download the detail of your shipping invoices from the Finance > Invoice Listing screen and check the per-order desi; if your dispute is approved, the resulting price-difference invoice appears on the Finance > Invoice Operations > Pending Invoice Requests screen.
How much is the failure-to-supply penalty?
The penalty is tiered according to the total price of the cancelled products: roughly 10 TL for 0-49.99 TL, 25 TL for 50-499.99 TL, 50 TL for 500-999.99 TL, and 100 TL and above for 1,000 TL and up. Trendyol updates these tiers periodically (the latest update took effect in June 2025); check the current table at the Seller Information Center.
How is the late-shipment penalty calculated?
It is based on the total price of the products not handed to the carrier within the deadline: roughly 10 TL for 0-49.99 TL, 25 TL for 50-499.99 TL, and 50 TL for 500 TL and above. If the order shipped in multiple parcels, the calculation is done separately for each parcel. If you delivered the parcel on time and the delay was caused by the carrier's scan, dispute it with the delivery record.
Can both a late-shipment and a failure-to-supply penalty be charged on the same order?
The same product was either handed over to the carrier late or never shipped at all; charging both on the same line is the double-deduction situation sellers complain about most, and it is a valid dispute. Attach the order timeline and request a refund of one of the two deductions.
Where do I see the deductions on my payout?
In the Seller Panel, the Finance > Payout Operations screen shows the deduction items (commission, shipping, penalty, service fee), and the Finance > Invoice Listing screen shows the invoices for these deductions. Downloading both as Excel and comparing them line by line against your own sales records is the only reliable way to catch an unfair deduction.
Who pays the return shipping fee?
For customer returns, the shipping cost of the return parcel is as a rule invoiced to the seller and deducted from the payout. However, if the return parcel never reached you, if more than one deduction was made for the same return, or if the reason for the return is shipping damage (documented with a report), you can dispute the deduction.
